"The Burning Five" now available on Youtube

Seeing a limited release on DVD this past May, we've been looking for ways to increase exposure to our film "The Burning Five" ever since. One solution: put it up on Youtube. So now it's there, free to watch in six parts.

From the back of the DVD:

"Professor Megacrispy embarks on a journey to explore the "Time-space" dimension: a world in a parallel universe inhabited by a group called the Burning Five. He seeks out the help of the Guru, who shares his wisdom about the Five and their purpose. A curious young girl follows, compelled by the Professor's strange encounters, watching cautiously as he battles the Five. Megacrispy's ultimate goal is to "break reality," finding a way to bypass the common rules that govern and limit the empirical world."

Post-ACen Report

Thanks so much to everyone who stopped by our table at Anime Central this weekend! It is always a pleasure to share our artwork with old & new fans alike.

We are all resting now, hoping to be able to share more of our work with everyone very soon. Scott & Riley are discussing ways of building a full-featured section of the site for Rocket Baby, and I set up a deviantart.com account in response to not being able to share a link this weekend. The link is seanjensen.deviantart.com .

If you were unable to pick up any of our products this weekend for some reason and are still interested in doing so, please send an email to phobiapress AT yahoo DOT com. We hope to expand our site soon to include a storefront; until then, our email works.

Thanks once again, everyone!

News, news, lots of news!

It's been long enough to have fully conceived a child since the last update to the Phobia Press website! That's crazy!

Lot's of stuff is going on in the land of Phobia Press. We're coming back to Anime Central for our fourth year, with a couple new items to share with the adoring public:

First, the long-overdue release of The Burning Five, a movie spearheaded by Sean Jensen (that's me, actually) about an introspective Professor named Megacrispy who figures out how to teleport to a surreal alternate dimension. This would be very cool, except there are a bunch of "Jesus Ninjas" who call themselves The Burning Five who live in this strange world. Maybe that makes things even more cool. Either way, we'll be releasing the finished film for the first time at ACen on DVD. Stop by and check it out.

Scott & Riley have been hard at work on the next exciting issue of "Rocket Baby." They're not totally sure whether you'll be able to pick up a copy for yourself in just two weeks, but to make up for it they've touched-up the premiere issue just in case you missed it.

Last year we had mustaches. I'm afraid to share that we don't expect to have mustaches to hand out this year . . . but we will have on hand something that we've never done before: stickers! Phobia Press logo stickers, as well as full-color Endangered Species stickers! These in addition to a new series of Riley's 3d toy-like Endangered Species from last year! Awesome! Exclamation points!

Of course, we'll also have more copies of the debut Phobia Press release, shoe-lace minions and all. That's right, we'll be bringing back "!?" once again. The abstract comic is where it all started, way back over the summer of 2004. If you've already picked up your copy at a previous convention, think of this as a history piece.

We have at least one more surprise product that we'll be offering at this year's convention. We hope to have more than that, but I'm personally going to avoid promising more than I can be sure of.

It's looking to be a great convention for Phobia Press. Stay tuned for more, and always remember you can drop us a line @ phobiapress AT yahoo DOT com (or gmail DOT com if you prefer).

Another Phobia Press site redesign

Welcome, site patrons--

This "update" was, again, promised a number of months before today; yet, as with the other short spurts of activity on the site, the update has eventually come through.

I have decided to create a blogger account in the interest of making news updates easier to handle. With a word-box type interface, rather than the clunky HTML suite I have used in the past, I can focus on delivering information instead of worrying about how inserting the news will alter the design of the site.

Using this account should also (hopefully) lead to Scott, Elon, and Riley updating the site with news of their projects, rather than just myself doing so.

That said, we recently returned to Anime Central this past May, where we sold our third printing of !? featuring Otis and Discoman battling a horde of shoelace fiends. We also introduced a new project, written and drawn by Scott Frigo and Riley Crane, entitled Rocket Baby. Unlike previous years, we went home with inventory left over--inventory that we would be happy to deliver for just slightly more than the cost of shipping. Please send a message to if you are interested.

More to come when it's ready.
